Andreas Nixdorf

Andreas Nixdorf studied Organic Chemistry and Mass Spectrometry at Bielefeld University, Germany, and received his PhD in 1997. He has more than 30 years of scientific and managerial experience in the Life Sciences industry, ranging from laboratory management to GMP Quality Assurance.

He joined SGS Institut Fresenius GmbH in 2007 and established Extractables & Leachables (E&L) testing services for pharmaceutical and medical device applications at SGS in 2008. Since 2010, he has served as a Business Development Manager, combining scientific expertise, regulatory knowledge, and industry experience to support clients in solving complex analytical and regulatory challenges.

His key areas of expertise include Extractables & Leachables, medical devices, drug-device combination products, single-use systems, and pharmaceutical packaging safety assessment. Andreas is a frequent speaker at international conferences and is particularly interested in strengthening cross-functional collaboration between scientific, regulatory, quality, and industry experts to develop practical and scientifically sound approaches to product safety and regulatory compliance.
